The Elevator

This is a view of the valley that has been developed further after week one. I have added vegetation, texture of the land surface (which hasn't shown up and doesn't usually show up when I open the level each time), an army truck for scale, and a block which I have made into the elevator, which rises vertically, like Russell's demonstration.

This is the view from the ground, when the elevator is positioned on the ground at one end of the valley.

As it rises up, you gain a sense of how long the overall valley is, and a wider view of teh surrounding landscape.

The Valley

This is my chosen valley to use. It is one part of the F3 freeway that runs north from Sydney up towards Newcastle and the Central Coast. I have chosen it because it is a little different to most other valleys in that it is totally man-made, and no attempt is made to make it look appealing, it's pretty much just walls of rock.

This is how I have tried to model it in Crysis, I would have liked to add a sandstone surface texture to it to make it look like the real thing, but I couldn't find the textures folder. Concerning the issue of power, I believe it would be suitable for my clients to meet on the middle, smaller ridge, situated above the ground below them, positioned higher as a symbol of power itself.

Mashup of Three Articles

Angela Merkel in her budget speech Wednesday laid out the euro-zone divisions that bother Berlin the most. Following months of speculation, David Jones has officially announced Aussie supermodel, Miranda Kerr will replace Negan Gale as the store's new fashion ambassador.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for the people of out state to learn more about Helen Keller and how her oft-stated goal to end preventable blindness and deafness continues to inspire our global efforts in medical research," said Robert Morris, M.D., president of the Helen Keller Foundation for Research and Education.

Overly-hasty financial bailout would be "rash" and likely weaken the euro in the longer term, Merkel determined. The life size image of Helen Keller as a seven-year-old was designed to be approachable and inspiring, especially to children. It is fully accessible from all sides so that all visitors, regardless of their personal limitations, may touch and feel Keller's likeness.

Colette Gamsey said: "Miranda will be a wonderful role model and fashion ambassador to represent David Jones' unparalleled range of women's fashion. We have no doubt our customers will respond extremely well to her warm and engaging nature."

Helen Keller, who lost her sight and hearing as a child, lter learned to speak and earned a degree from Radcliffe College, the women's branck of Harvard University. She travelled the world as an adult, wrote 12 books and championed causes including women's suffrage and workers' rights. "Miranda embodies so many wholesome Australian attributes. She has natural beauty, a great sense of humour, a down to earth attitude, and a love for Australia, all of which set her apart.
