Week 7 Lecture
I really liked the background image from the 8th slide of Russell's lecture last week, which showcased Erica Kruger's work regarding shadows that she completed duing her final year of her master's degree (? correct me if I'm wrong about that). This image depicts a square which has been shaded in quite heavily, with parallel lines being produced from the bottom and right hand edges of the square in a diagonal direction towards the bottom right of the slide. I think I like this image because it is similar to some of the shading that I have been using for my axonometric drawings of the rectangles, with long sets of parallel lines that are the same for faces that are oriented the same direction. I think that I could improve my work by becoming more careful with my drawings and trying to make them as neat and precise as possible, as Erika has clearly done with this work, and also by using a wider range of media in my works.
