Spaces with Stairs
This is my original idea, seen in a section, and this one isn't developed as far as the other one because I have had trouble constructing the stairs connecting both the upper and lower levels due to the curved surfaces.

These two are sections for my second space/s. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4TutXgpyDg0RzGknUIO5NY_tsCIKAzE4_1TC-4NbRVqe9rJ8vu0znEZmTHFglK-S-FHa-JJjra1mbZVs59la0Zi7vvChS0JHkblnOkHxOQuv5hyx3-aZGZIEb4pCapmbFXkLT9JYURbs/s320/space+2+section+2.jpg)

Great Architecture

I watched a documentary about Frank Lloyd Wright last year which looked at this house in depth, along with Wright's life, and thinking about this homework reminded me of this particular house. The cantilever looks as if it is about to fall away into the stream, and interestingly, the lower balcony started to droop towards the water a few years after it was completed, due to some miscalculations about where the weight would be supported. However, this was corrected and strengthened in the following years.
Something Beautiful?

This is a picture of a piece of music called "Extreme Makeover" that I am playing at the moment with the band that I am in. It is the test piece for the National Championships that we are going in on the Easter Weekend, and I have chosen it as my 'beautiful thing' because it's a little different from what most people would consider beautiful. Although it is extremely hard technically, it will hopefully sound amazing when we play it there. One of the most unique things about this piece is that during the middle a whole section of the band stops playing their instruments and plays beer bottles filled with water to exact notes, making it really different from most other band pieces.
